Thank you for sharing your meaningful prayer in both English and Korean to help all feel connected to the observance.

Thank you for your church's generous donation to UNHCR for refugees. All together we collected $1600 that day, which is amazing but demonstrates what a difference we can make.

Thank you to your teens who were such a great help with setting up and putting away the chairs and tables. Even more, we appreciate the trifold they created showing the diversity of people in Leonia and the words for peace in so many languages. It is now in the library until the end of September on the lower floor.

We will send a special thanks also to Ms. Helen Kim for encouraging Emerson S. Kang to share his poem that spoke so well to the theme of "End Racism. Build Peace." Having people share their stories reminded us we still have work to do, but that we can make a difference.

We so appreciate Mr. Heejae Kim for sharing his talented singing. The song you helped choose, "You Raised Me Up" lifted our spirits and gave us a sense of hope that we can raise each other up, with God's help.

Leonia is such a diverse community and we have the opportunity to learn so much from each other when we listen to people willing to share their experiences and their gifts. Thank you again.
